Keep It Moving Southie
Thanks to Southie Brownie Troops 64224 and 70041 for the origin of this event! Earlier this year, the scouts learned about the catastrophic impacts of textile waste on the environment through a lesson on using resources wisely - part of the Girl Scout Law and words scouts pledge to live by. This led to the conception of a clothing drive for kids. We anticipate a hugely successful first Keep It Moving Southie donation drive (because Southie shows up!), and imagine expanding to additional donation categories in the future.

Join us for a closet cleaning to benefit kids in need...
Keep It Moving Southie is kicking off to offer opportunities to reduce household waste and keep items circulating locally. For our first drive, we are partnering with Cradles to Crayons to collect kids' apparel and shoes. Our used items will be given to neighbors in need. Bonus points for keeping items out of landfill. All will be put to good use!

Why We're Here
Friends and Neighbors was formed to envision and design creative community programming, and to provide an umbrella for events that don’t fit neatly within the framework of other organizations. We author our own events or come alongside community partners to support their initiatives. We look to bring about opportunities for connection. The through-line in all our efforts is for neighbors to get to know each other and grow new friendships.
